Veterans Day - Sunday, November 11

Veterans Day 2018 ~ Sunday, November 11

Veterans Day honors all those military men and women who have served our country.  There are many events to recognize their contribution in our area.  Our parish is one place where active duty service members and veterans, including those with a service-related disability or PTSD, can be supported and blessed for their service to all of us.

Veterans' Mass at St. Therese

Saint Therese Parish will honor all Veterans during a Mass next Sunday, November 11 at 11 AM. If there is a Veteran in your family whom you want remembered, please bring a photo along with his/her name, to be displayed in the main entrance of the church. (All photos will be returned.) The Knights of Columbus will provide a Color Guard and the Council of Catholic Women (CCW) will serve refreshments after Mass.

Prayer for Veterans

Help us, dear God, to see your face in every Veteran we encounter. Guide us as we imagine new ways to support Veterans and their families. Bring healing and peace to all who have been wounded physically, mentally and spiritually during wartime. Help us bring your saving grace to heal the invisible wounds of war. We ask this in Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
